Every wig wearer has to consider the question of which type of fiber best suits their needs. In order to answer that question, you have to consider some basic facts about each type of fiber.
Synthetic
Synthetic wigs are made from a varierty of modacrylic synthetic fibers. Two of the highest quality synthetic fibers are Kanekalon and Tokokalon, although many other synthetic fibers are quite good as well.

- Dry faster
- Deeper, richer colors
Cons
- Cannot be restyled
- Cannot be exposed to heat like ovens or steamy heat like saunas as the fiber will be ruined.
- Do not last as long as Human hair wigs
- Can look shiny or fake to some
Human Hair
A human hair wig is the most natural looking option.Pros
- Most natural look
- Longer life of the wig
- Most versatile styling options
Cons
- Higher priced
- Must be styled daily
- Susceptible to humidity
- Hair can look dull
- Limited color options
Human Hair Blend
