Keeping them looking fresh and nice takes a little work — here’s what you do:
- It is best to wash your lace front wig after removing it. Proper washing and style techniques will extend the life of your lace front wig.
- We do not recommend washing your lace front wig while wearing it.
- Gather these supplies and follow these instructions for the best results.
Recommended Supplies
- Sink or Basin
- Wig Shampoo
- Wig Conditioner
- Wide Tooth comb
- Wig Head/ Mannequin
- Hand Towel
Step 1: Gently comb hair with a wide tooth comb to remove any tangles.
Step 2: Fill a basin or sink with luke warm water. Place the wig in the water.
- Using a small amount of shampoo, wash the wig from root to tip using your finger tips. Gently run your hands through the hair, careful not to get your fingers stuck. Do not tug or pull on the fibers while they are wet.
- Repeat wash, if necessary, to ensure hair is clean from product and shampoo. Do not rub the hair during the washing process, as that may cause tangling.
Rinse thoroughly until all shampoo residue is gone.

Step 3: Apply wig conditioner and allow it to penetrate for 10 minutes. Use cool water to rinse the conditioner. Make sure all residue has been removed.
Step 4: Gently squeeze the excess water from the fiber. Use a hand towel to gently soak any remaining water. Wig should be damp.
Step 5: Place the wig on mannequin head. Allow wig to air dry.
When dry, style as desired with flat iron or curler.
Tips:
- We recommend washing only once every two weeks to avoid excess wear on lace and hair.
- Only use shampoos designed for your type of fiber. We recommend Revlon Wig Cleanser .
- Avoid products with alcohol, which tends to dry the hair
